Make each replacement unique
Use a password manager to create and store separate strong passwords, or an available passkey supported by the service. Small variations of the same password preserve a pattern that is easier to guess.
Check recovery settings
An account’s security also depends on its recovery email, phone and extra authentication. Update details you no longer control and remove unfamiliar sessions through the service’s settings.
