A long password helps. A different password for every account matters just as much. A password manager can create and keep them for you.

## Try this

1. Start with your email. Generate a long, unique password in a password manager you trust.
2. Replace a leaked password everywhere you reused it. Adding a number to the old one is not a fresh start.
3. Protect your password manager with a strong master password and its available sign-in protections.

## Practice scenario (fictional)

An old shopping password was exposed. You also used it for email. What needs changing?

1. Only the shopping password
2. Both passwords, each to a different one

Safer response: Both passwords, each to a different one

An attacker can try a stolen password on other services. Unique passwords limit that risk. Never paste an existing password into a breach-checking site.

Lesson completion records practice, not a scan or certification.
